Raven Zaal: Tips For Managing Your Stress Levels

Raven Zaal is a Certified Holistic Health Coach who places much of her focus on helping her clients eat cleanly while also tackling the triggers that could lead to them engaging in emotional eating. Stress plays a large part in many people’s decisions to eat, so if you are looking to manage your stress levels and stick to your health plan, consider all of these pointers.

Avoid Alcohol, Caffeine and Nicotine

All three of these substances can have noticeable effects on your body and mood, so you should aim to reduce your levels of consumption as much as possible. Both caffeine and nicotine are stimulants that can lead to irregular sleep patterns and your body building dependency that makes it more difficult to function without them. By contrast, alcohol is a depressant that lead to you struggling to maintain a positive mindset.

Get Physical

Exercise and physical activities can help to improve your mood in addition to providing you with the energy that you need to approach your daily activities with renewed vigor. A good workout can also leave you feeling empowered, often resulting in lower stress levels and the ability to focus on your priorities.

Get Good Sleep

Raven Zaal’s approach focuses as much on the emotional wellbeing of her clients as it does the actions they can take to bring about change in their lives. Poor sleep leads to the buildup of fatigue and an inability to focus, which may lead to the issues that are causing your stress to continue building. Try to establish a bedtime routine you can stick to.
