Definitely in my top 5 essential oils, peppermint oil is one of the most versatile to use around the home. This should be a staple essential oil in every home! It has natural antimicrobial properties and is perfect for household cleaning.

While I never recommend ingesting essential oils except under the supervision of a trained professional, peppermint essential oil has an amazing calming effect on the body. It has the ability help with digestive issues as well as reducing the symptoms of nausea and the severity of headaches. It has also long been used in relieving dental pain.

Mix peppermint oil with a carrier oil such as almond or coconut oil and rub onto sore or cramping muscles. You can also use on your stomach to help ease digestive pain.
